Momentary relief for my desert-like throat.

Thank you, Kool-Aid. Thank you freezer. Thank you husband for bringing me an ice cube-sized popsicle every five seconds.

what i've made lately

I swear I've made cupcakes or cookies or something every weekend lately. Here are some of the things I've made:

  • Snickerdoodle Cookies - Neither of us liked these. They were very dry, and not sweet enough for our liking. We'll not be using this recipe again.
  • Strawberry Stuffed French Toast - We were going to make this the Saturday before Valentine's Day, but we ended up car shopping the whole day. We did make it the next Saturday, and not only was it much easier than I anticipated, but it was delicious! We made more the next morning for breakfast!
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies - I got this recipe from the Webb family cookie cook book. We took 10 cookies to Mr. Webb's family. The 4 of them still living there ate all 10 cookies that night. We brought the rest to Sunday lunch the next day, and only two were left. This recipe went over so well! Here's the recipe!
Chocolate Chip Cookies

3/4 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz package chocolate chips

Cream together sugars and butter. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake for 11 minutes at 350 degrees.
