This terribly focused picture was taken at my very last violin recital with my amazing group of violin friends (minus a couple who weren't seniors) and my violin teacher. I love teaching violin lessons now, but sometimes I really, really miss getting together once a month to play with them.

Last week, my sister and her family came down for a visit. I loved being able to play with my niece and nephew. Just look how cute they are:

So, this picture is from Thanksgiving, but I love it. This is Mr. Webb and my adorable nephew. We arrived at my family's house before leaving to get family pictures, and they were wearing the same outfit. It was too cute to pass up taking a picture.

dear president obama

Two weeks ago, we were writing letters in our after school program. One of my groups wanted to write letters to President Obama.

Here is what my first grader's letter said:

Dear President Obama,

What do you eat when you get mad?

From, (student's name), 1st grade
