First, some big news! Baby took about 4 steps to her daddy on Monday! She is about to take off running! :)

In March, my sister and her husband and baby flew out and blessed their baby out here. He is such a handsome little thing! Here are the cousins on my side of the family:

My mom helped me whip up some crib rail covers, because baby started gnawing on them and taking off the paint. Then the next day I got a very little sewing machine and made a purse!

And finally, we celebrated Easter with the Webb family. She absolutely adores her Webb cousins!

Here are a couple movies for your viewing pleasure. :) The first is her laughing while I was feeding her lunch. The second is my brother (aka her favorite toy) pulling her in a box, which she loved! I keep trying to get a better video of her laughing, because she has such a funny laugh, but no success so far. Someday I'll get one!

I've come across this blog which I adore.

And it is so fun.

Often, there will be a free Holiday print out that I've started to love. I keep a picture frame in my living room to fill with the most recent installment of someone else's creativity.

the christmas season

Firstly, and most important, we found out on Dec. 15th that we're having a baby girl! If you didn't know we were having a baby...well...now you do! She'll be arriving sometime around May 4th. Meet our little baby!

A little bit before Christmas, we got a LOT of snow. Sure, it almost completely melted the next day, but it was so fun! Plus, we have an amazing family who helped us shovel out.

We had a great Christmas! Our cat, Molly, had lots of fun with the wrapping paper! Mr. Webb and I woke up early to do our own Christmas, then we drove over to his family's house and had Christmas breakfast and gifts with them. When we were done there, we went to my family's house, had a second breakfast, and opened gifts with them.

I'll try to be better at blogging, but I make no promises!

patriotic cupcakes parts 2 and 3

I got a call Saturday night. 3 dozen cupcakes to decorate? Why yes, thank you! Picked them up on Sunday. First batch was for the 4th of July celebration at the Webb's home. They were basically the same as the first, just different colors:

I made a second batch on Monday for my family's celebration. Instead of regular cupcakes, though, I decided to make Bakerella's cake pops. I made mine star-shaped, and they turned out pretty good, although not as perfect as Bakerella's do... :)

Easter is coming! I put my decorations up a few days ago, and I'm looking forward to dying eggs with Mr. Webb.

quick and easy decorating

I saw this idea for a cute, but fast and inexpensive, Valentine's Day decoration. I found it at Love, Actually. This blog has a lot of fun date ideas for spouses. I like that they did some decorating ideas, though.

Basically this decoration is candy sprinkles and a candle. Here's how mine turned out.

frog cake

On Saturday night, my sister-in-law texted me, asking if I would make a birthday cake for my nephew. We were celebrating it the next day. I didn't have time to go buy supplies, so I had to make do with what I had, and what my mother and mother-in-law had.

It turned out SO GOOD! I was so happy! I ended up making a frog cake. It was very simple, and very quick. It took one 9-in circle cake, one 8-in square cake, and two cupcakes (but I used ding-dongs that we got in our stocking from our in-laws). You cut the legs out of the square cakes, and the cupcakes are used as the eyes. Instead of frosting it smoothly, I used a decorating tip to make it look a little more fancy. The tongue is just a piece of Fruit By the Foot (courtesy of my mother-in-law's pantry).
